Comment Policy: “If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.” Is a phrase that I heard my whole childhood, and seems largely forgotten. I am bringing that back with my comment policy. This is not the place for harsh criticisms or negativity. I welcome ideas from people from all walks of life, but please, write your comments with grace and respect. We have enough negatives in the world without adding to it.
Privacy Statement: First off, I will always do my utmost to protect your personal information. I do not want my personal information floating around and I’m sure that you don’t either. I have a form to collect email addresses and have a mailing list. The service I have to help me with the mailing list will have access to any email address you decide to share with me, but these services are professional and make their money from helping bloggers like me manage email lists. If they sold their lists, they would be out of business. They do not do this. I will never sell your email. There is also demographic information collected through cookies. These let me see where my readers are from and what posts have been viewed. This helps me to know what content is well liked so that I can continue to bring you articles that you are interested in. I DO NOT share or sell your email addresses! I may share info if required by law or to prevent harm to others. There are links to websites other than mine in my blog posts and I am not responsible for their content. (Not my circus; not my monkeys on other sites). If you are on my mailing list, there is always an opt-out option. I am pretty picky when it comes to things cluttering my mailbox. I will not treat you any differently than I want to be treated myself. Right now (6/25/18) I am trying to send out 2 emails a month to uplift and encourage you with the mailing list. I also link back to blog posts for the week and just generally try to get to know you better.
Copyright statement: Everything on my blog is my original work and may not be copied or republished without my expressed written (or typed) permission. If you want to LINK back to my work, please feel free!
Legal disclaimer: I am not a licensed professional, and the things that I write about should not be substituted for any sort of professional advice. They are my own personal opinions and should be taken as such. Think of the content as advice from a friend. 🙂
Affiliate Link Disclosure: My blog does contain affiliate links in some of the posts. If you click on these and you buy something from my link I will get a commission at no extra cost to you. (Thank you if you do!) These funds go to me personally and help with the costs associated with the upkeep of the blog and help me to keep delivering quality content to you. I will only affiliate with products that I personally believe in. The main purpose of this blog is to HELP people, and I never want to compromise that goal by promoting something that I do not believe in, no matter how much they pay me. I will clearly state when I put an affiliate link into a blog article. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
Sponsored Content: I may write sponsored content from time to time. Brands that I like and use can pay me to endorse their product and write a review on it. I will always give you my honest opinions. My goal is to treat you how I would want to be treated. I’m not selling my soul here and endorsing whatever comes along. When/if I do write sponsored content, there will always be a sentence at the beginning identifying it as sponsored content.

What happens when you enter your email address in the sign up form?
When you enter your name and email in the sign up form, it is sent to an email provider that I use called “Mailerlite.” It helps me to organize subscribers, send out newsletters, and send out promotional offers when I see something that I think will interest you. This is as secure as I can possibly make it. As I mentioned above, my email adress is there too! Mailerlite is a reputable service used by many bloggers. Though I cannot guarantee that nothing will ever happen to it, know that I have taken all possible precautions.
